A 16,700 m² solar carport at BMW’s plant in Dadong, Shenyang. We fabricated its 500 tonnes of shaped canopy steel in 2021.

Rows of columns carry shaped canopy frames over the parking bays, with solar panels on top.
On site, the columns were set out across the car park first, then the canopy frames were lifted onto them with truck cranes. Our scope was fabricating the steel.
At 30 kg of steel per m², the carport came in at the same steel weight as the single-storey warehouses we built at Huaxing Logistics Park. Different buildings, the same weight: the loads, not the building type, set the steel.
Our steel structures have gone into projects for BMW, Yili and CP Group.
